Ohio State football recruits at the highest level of the sport.
Urban Meyer became the Ohio State head coach in late 2011. The Buckeyes were already one of college football's name brands, and added a top recruiter with Meyer on board.
Beginning with the 2012 recruiting class, the Buckeyes have finished in the top seven classes in the nation every year under Meyer. In 2013, 2017, and now 2018, the Buckeyes has finished with the second-best class in the country.
This year, only Georgia is ranked ahead of the Buckeyes. Kirby Smart put together an historic class.
Most years, Meyer's 2018 class efforts would have easily secured the No. 1 spot. Ohio State isn't going anywhere though.
OSU is already well situated for 2019. In August, the Buckeyes picked up their first commit in four-star tackle Doug Nester.
Nester is the nation's No. 8 player, and the 52nd player in the country overall, per 247Sports. It was a strong start to the class.
The Buckeyes haven't landed another player since, but there are plenty of guys that they are favorites for. Using 247's composite player rankings and crystal ball predictions, these are the five best players that OSU is projected to land:
