Several notable Buckeyes have sported No. 1, including current quarterback Justin Fields and former star Braxton Miller in his final season.

Herron played at Ohio State from 2008-11. He rushed for 1,155 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior in 2010, helping the Buckeyes reach the Sugar Bowl.

The Ohio native went on to play in the NFL from 2011-16. He totaled 468 yards and one touchdown.
