Ryan Day notched another huge victory in Ohio State's recruiting today. One of the top in-state recruits is on his way to Columbus in 2021.

On Wednesday, four-star offensive tackle Ben Christman announced that he would be committing to Ohio State. The announcement comes less than a week after he made an unofficial visit to the school.

247Sports rates Christman as the No. 44 overall prospect in the country. He is the No. 9 offensive tackle in the nation, and the No. 2 prospect from the state of Ohio.

Christman's 247Sports scouting report draws a comparison to four-time Pro Bowl tackle Andrew Whitworth.

Christman gives the Buckeyes their fourth member of the Class of 2021, which currently ranked No. 3 in the nation and No. 1 in the Big Ten by 247Sports as of writing.

Perhaps more importantly, Christman's recruitment is yet another successful effort by new head coach Ryan Day to bring in a top in-state player.

The Buckeyes now boast the top two in-state players in the Class of 2021, and three of the top five. Additionally, the Buckeyes are listed as the leader for four of the top ten.

Suffice it to say, Ryan Day is doing a very solid job of bringing the local kids into the fold.
