A few Buckeye notes for the Monday leading up to the season opener.

Ohio State released its depth chart for week one today. Some things to take notice of:

-- All second string linebackers are freshmen.
-- Devin Smith is listed as the first string X receiver and Stoneburner is listed as the No. 1 H receiver. The X spot is the typical outside receiver and the H spot can change depending on formation.
-- Carlos Hyde is the starting running back and freshman Bri'onte Dunn is at the No. 2 spot. That means redshirt sophomore Rod Smith is the No. 3.
-- Freshman Noah Spence will back-up captain John Simon at left end.
-- Reid Fragel won the starting spot at right tackle. Fragel was battling freshman Taylor Decker for the position.

Nike is selling Ohio State jerseys with eight different numbers, per assistantcoach Zack Smith.

Ohio State opens up with Miami (Ohio) on Saturday. The Redhawks are led by senior QB Zac Dysert, who last season threw for 3,500 yards and 25 TDs. Kick-off for the game is at noon.
