Ohio State Football: Report: 3-Star OL Mirko Jurkovic Jr. Will Not Enroll At Ohio State

Ohio State's 2015 recruiting class is down one player, according to a report. Tim May of The Columbus Dispatch has learned that offensive lineman Mirko Jurkovic Jr. from South Bend by way of IMG Academy will not enroll at Ohio State for this season, due to an academic issue.

When the rest of the 2015 Ohio State recruiting class reports late Sunday for the start of summer conditioning, offensive line prospect Mirko Jurkovic Jr. will not be with them, two sources within the program confirmed for The Dispatch on Friday.

Jurkovic, originally from South Bend, Ind., by way of the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., has an academic issue that has kept him from enrolling at OSU, the sources said, though they weren’t sure of its exact nature. He was a three-star prospect, according to Rivals.com and 247sports.com.

According to Ohio State blog Eleven Warriors, the Buckeyes are still one player over the scholarship limit as the season approaches.

Ohio State's roster is at 86 players, and must be down to 85 before the season begins.

As of now, it's unclear if Jurkovic will attend a junior college and attempt to re-enroll at Ohio State or if he'll seek asylum elsewhere.

Hopefully Jurkovic can sort out the next step of his college career in due time.
