Ohio State freshman Chase Young looks like he's been on-campus for years.
Five-star defensive end Chase Young, the eighth-best recruit in the country per 247 Sports, was expected to eventually be a monster for Ohio State. It could be time to move the timeline up a bit.
Young, who reportedly added 35 pounds of muscle in 2017, looks like he's been on-campus for years.
This is what Young looks like as a true freshman.
Young played his senior season at 225 pounds - he's now 260. Here's more, via a Land of 10 article from April:
The defensive end with a 247Sports 5-star rating played his senior year at 225 pounds, but in the fourth months since, he’s bulked up to the 260-pound range that Ohio State wants him at. He decided to kill off his final few months at Hyattsville DeMatha Catholic by joining the track and field team, which makes sense. At 6 feet 5 and 260 pounds, he looks exactly like what a coach would want in a thrower.
Young is regarded as a potential future No. 1 overall pick. He seems to be off to a good start.
