Ohio State Freshman Takes To Twitter: "JT Is A Guy We All Look Up To"

Ohio State sophomore quarterback J.T. Barrett won't be able to start next week's contest against Minnesota after his overnight citation, but that doesn't mean his teammates have lost faith in him. Saturday morning, hours after the news of Barrett's citation became public, one Buckeyes freshman took to social media to stand up for his teammate.

Freshman Matthew Burrell Jr., an offensive guard who just started his collegiate football career, told his followers that Barrett is still a player everyone on the team looks up to. He also added a supportive note about mistakes not making the man.

This doesn't come as a surprise, given what we've heard about Barrett's work ethic from head coach Urban Meyer. Regardless, Barrett did make a mistake here, and will face a great deal of criticism in the coming days.
