Ohio State 5-Star Commit Makes Bold Prediction For Urban Meyer

Ohio State's top commitment, five-star wide receiver Garrett Wilson, has not backed off his pledge during the ongoing Urban Meyer investigation. Wilson has maintained his loyalty to OSU thus far.

Wilson even went as far as to predict a national title for the team this fall. “Welcome to life,” Wilson said. “Some things go wrong. It's not like everything is going to go right. At the end of the day, I feel like those kids are going to come back stronger after this, Coach Meyer is going to come back stronger and they’re going to win a [national championship] this year.” You can view all of Wilson's comments below.

Back on July 23, when the Zach Smith situation began to blow up and the wide receivers coach was fired, Wilson tweeted he was sticking with his commitment.

However, shortly after Meyer was put on administrative leave, Wilson told Lettermen Row back on August 2 that he would consider other schools if the Buckeyes were to fire Meyer and give the job to someone else besides interim head coach/offensive coordinator Ryan Day.

There's still a possibility of that happening, so OSU isn't out of the woods yet when it comes to holding onto Wilson. If the five-star wideout reopens his recruitment, he will have no shortage of suitors considering he is the No. 14 player in the country, per 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
