Ryan Day continues to show that he’s an excellent recruiter for the Ohio State Buckeyes. They just landed a four-star recruit to add to their 2021 class.
Ohio State has put together an incredible 2020 recruiting class, which is currently ranked No. 4 in the country by 247Sports.
It appears Day is wasting little time getting an early jump on the following recruiting class. On Tuesday, the Buckeyes were informed that four-star linebacker Reid Carrico is committing to the program.
Carrico is the No. 3 inside linebacker and No. 5 recruit from Ohio. He held offers from top programs, such as Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Penn State and Michigan.
The official announcement from Carrico came on Twitter as he shared a video that unveiled his decision.

Carrico spoke to 247Sports about his decision, saying “It just felt like I was home there.” He also revealed that he wasn’t comfortable announcing his decision until this past weekend.
The Buckeyes already have five commits for their 2021 recruiting class. Five-star defensive end Jack Sawyer is the top recruit from the class thus far.
If Ohio State continues to recruit this well under Day, the program should remain a contender in college football for the foreseeable future.
