When the Ohio State Buckeyes take the field this weekend against the Maryland Terrapins, they’ll be without their top playmaker. Star defensive end Chase Young is suspended indefinitely because of a potential NCAA violation.
Even though Ohio State won’t have Young this Saturday, it doesn’t change the fact that Ryan Day’s team is heavily favored to defeat Maryland.
The Buckeyes haven’t played in two weeks, but they looked pretty impressive in their most recent outing. Justin Fields and J.K. Dobbins led Ohio State to a 31-point win over Wisconsin.
As for Maryland, the program is currently in a massive slump. The Terrapins have lost four-straight games, which includes blowout losses to Minnesota and Michigan.
Maryland nearly upset Ohio State in overtime last season because of star tailback Anthony McFarland Jr. If he can have another breakout performance for his team, then it’s possible the Terrapins can keep this game close.
However, the spread for this matchup hints that Ohio State could be on the verge of another blowout win.

Here are the details for this Saturday’s game:
Game Time: 12:00 p.m. ET
Spread: Ohio State -43.5
Announcers: Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt, Jenny Taft
OSU should have its way against Maryland’s defense, which surrenders 413.8 yards per game. It’s a golden opportunity for Fields to make his case as the favorite for the Heisman Trophy.
Do you think the Buckeyes will remain undefeated through Week 11?
