It Has Been 2000 Days Since Michigan Football's Last Win Over Ohio State

Michigan-Ohio State is one of, if not the, best rivalries in college football, but it has been pretty one-sided as of late.

">Reddit user VogonTorpedo, a Buckeyes fan, broke out the calculator, and found that as of today, it has been exactly 2000 days since Michigan beat Ohio State in football. That is a pretty impressive feat for Ohio State.

The last Wolverines win came in 2011, with Denard Robinson accounting for 337 total yards and five total touchdowns, to lead Michigan to a 40-34 home win, avenging a 37-7 blowout loss to the Buckeyes the year before.

The two programs have gone in extremely different directions in the 2000 games since. That game capped Brady Hoke's first regular season. The 2011 Wolverines went 11-2, with a bowl win over Virginia Tech. It certainly didn't get better for Hoke's Michigan team than the end of that year.

Ohio State was led by interim head coach Luke Fickell that season, finishing 6-7 on the year. Fickell bridged the gap between Ohio State's two most recent national championship-winning head coaches, Jim Tressel and Urban Meyer. Meyer is a perfect 5-0 against Michigan, though three of those games have been very competitive, especially this past year's double overtime 30-27 win. With Jim Harbaugh in the fold, Michigan should continue to push Ohio State, but it might take another year or two to break this long streak.
