Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett Says Michigan QB Devin Gardner Told Him To "Stay Up" After Ankle Injury

One of the best moments of sportsmanship during the 2014 college football season came last Saturday, when Michigan QB Devin Gardner consoled Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett on the field after Barrett fractured his ankle in the Buckeyes' 42-28 win. Watching Gardner put aside arguably the most bitter rivalry in all of sports to give Barrett some support was really inspiring.

Today, Barrett discussed the moment, and said that Gardner told him to "stay up" when they met on the field after the injury. Barrett also said that he and Gardner have stayed in touch ever since the game.
