Ohio State trails Maryland 31-24 late in the third quarter. One of the Buckeyes' top offensive players hasn't played a down.
Running back Mike Weber is apparently on the sideline and dressed, but has not seen the field thus far today. His absence has been noticeable.
J.K. Dobbins has carried 27 times for 156 times and a touchdown, so OSU has had a ground attack. But Weber, who was only one rushing yard behind Dobbins for the team lead entering today, has mysteriously been held out.
No one seems to know why at this point.
If we had to guess, Weber isn't playing because of a previously undisclosed injury or suspension. We'll find out post-game.
Meanwhile, Ohio State has only one quarter left to come back against the Terps. You can watch the action on ABC.
