The Ohio State Buckeyes head to Ryan Field in Evanston this Friday to take on the reigning Big Ten West champion Northwestern Wildcats. Ahead of its game against Northwestern, Ohio State has released a pretty awesome hype video.
Entitled “The Brotherhood Returns,” the players receive a pep talk about teamwork and brotherhood from Ryan Day before storming out of the lockers. Highlights of their recent wins over Penn State and Indiana play while the messages “The past is dead and gone, the best is yet to come,” “New challenge, same mantra,” “Tough Love,” and “The Fight Continues” appear on the screen.

Last year, the two sides met in the Big Ten Championship Game. Ohio State easily won that game thanks to five Dwayne Haskins touchdown passes.
That win extended Ohio State’s current winning streak against the Wildcats to seven. The Buckeyes are 34-1 against Northwestern since 1972 and 62-14-1 against them all-time.
But while Ohio State has been arguably better than the team that went 13-1 last year, Northwestern is far from the team that stunned the Big Ten with a 9-5 record.
The Wildcats are currently 1-4 on the season, and winless in the Big Ten. But they’ll play five of their next six games at Ryan Field. If Pat Fitzgerald and his players have any of last year’s magic left in them, this will be the game to show it.
