The Ohio State Buckeyes are set to begin a new era this Saturday in their season opener.

Head coach Ryan Day, taking over Urban Meyer, is the new man at the helm. The fifth-ranked Buckeyes open their season against Florida Atlantic.

Ahead of their season opener, the team has released a hype video for fans to enjoy.

The video's caption reads, "On Saturday, a new era of Ohio State Football begins." Clearly, the focus is on Day's debut as a head coach.

"We're all apart of something special here at Ohio State and the culture is strong," Day said in the video. "My pledge to the players is that the staff is going to give you every opportunity to maximize yourself as a football player, as a student and establishing your career after football."

Day also makes a pledge to fans of the team promising continued excellence Ohio State has earned throughout the years.

"To Buckeye nation," Day said. "You have my word that I'm going to give everything I have to continue the tradition of excellence and winning that this program has enjoyed during a storied career."

Many are expecting Ohio State to have a big year. The Buckeyes are a popular College Football Playoff prediction for the 2019-20 season.

Ohio State and FAU are set to kick off at noon E.T. on FOX.
