There’s nothing worse than a rivalry loss. The fact that teams have to wait a whole year to try and avenge a rivalry defeat makes life miserable for the losing team.
Once again, Michigan’s in that exact scenario after losing to its most-hated rival, the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Wolverines have now lost eight straight games in the recent series history. The Buckeyes now have all the bragging rights for another whole year.
But one Ohio State star defensive player thinks this is just the start of the Buckeyes’ domination in this rivalry. Damon Arnette had a bold promise to Michigan fans after OSU’s big time win.
“They ain’t ever gonna win,” Arnette said, via Austin Ward of Letterman Row.

That’s quite the declaration from Ohio State. Michigan will beat Ohio State at some point in the future. But it sure looks like it won’t be for a while.
Simply put, the Buckeyes are better in every phase of the game. Ohio State consistently has a better quarterback, running back, and outperforms the Wolverines on the defensive side of the ball when the two teams meet.
Michigan has to rethink its offensive strategy to have a chance against the Buckeyes moving forward.
