This hasn't been the most exciting semifinal round of the College Football Playoff.

Last year's amazing Georgia vs. Oklahoma Rose Bowl aside, the semifinal games have not always been the most exciting games of the year.

The afternoon tilt between Clemson and Notre Dame was an absolute rout. The Tigers blew out the Fighting Irish 30-3.

Alabama-Oklahoma has been more entertaining, but it has never quite felt like the Sooners were really in the game.

The Crimson Tide jumped all over the Sooners, and while Kyler Murray has battled back, the OU defense just hasn't gotten enough stops.

The final two teams in the field weren't too controversial at the time they were chosen—Notre Dame was undefeated, Oklahoma had fewer losses than Georgia and didn't get embarrassed like Ohio State—but as always, hindsight is 20/20.

On Twitter, many are arguing that Ohio State and Georgia should have gotten bids, including Buckeyes star running back Mike Weber.

Numerous Georgia fans chimed in poking fun at Notre Dame's poor effort. Now, Weber is jumping in, saying the Bulldogs AND Buckeyes should have had the chance.

You can argue Georgia, maybe, based on their effort against Alabama, but at the end of the day the four teams with the best resumes got in.

Alabama and Clemson have clearly been the best two teams this season, once again, and it showed today.
