Ohio State's lengthy investigative report into Urban Meyer's handling of domestic violence allegations against Zach Smith turned up plenty of info. One nugget uncovered was the fact Smith and an unnamed Ohio State assistant visited a strip club while on a recruiting trip in Florida in May 2014.

Smith reportedly racked up a "significant" bill at the club, upwards of $600. A report from Lettermen Row alleged that the unidentified assistant with Smith was current Texas head coach Tom Herman.

Now, Ohio State has confirmed that detail. According to the Columbus Dispatch, Herman was indeed with Smith on the night in question.

University spokesman Chris Davey told The Dispatch that Herman, now the head coach at Texas, is the coach mentioned but unnamed in the 23-page final report of the investigation into football coach Urban Meyer’s handling of domestic abuse accusations against Smith.

Earlier Tuesday, Ohio State released records of the transactions at the strip club among a batch of material produced by the investigation, which resulted in suspensions for Meyer and athletic director Gene Smith.

Meyer is serving a three-game suspension as a result of the investigation. He can rejoin the team for practices after Week 1 but won't be able to coach until Week 4.

Gene Smith will be suspended from August 31-September 16. Zach Smith was of course dismissed by the Buckeyes in late July.

Of all the details in Ohio State's 23-page report, Zach Smith and Tom Herman going to a strip club isn't nearly the most explosive or noteworthy. Herman probably wishes his name wasn't connected like this though.
