The Buckeyes' guard has been suspended.

A couple of hours before today's game against Illinois, Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann announced some unfortunate news. A Buckeyes' starter has been suspended.

Senior guard Kam Williams has been suspended indefinitely. The suspension is for a violation of team rules.

Williams, a former four-star recruit, averages eight points and two rebounds a game for the Buckeyes. He plays a little more than 20 minutes a game.

Ohio State has been rolling this season. The Buckeyes are 19-5, second in the Big Ten conference.

OSU is currently projected to be a top four seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Buckeyes are a No. 4 seed in the West Region in Joe Lunardi's latest projection.

No other details about Williams' suspension have been provided. It's unclear how long it will last.

Ohio State and Illinois are set to tip off at noon. The game will be televised on FS1.
