Ohio State has quickly become must-see TV this season. Though he has an important AFC West matchup to prepare for this weekend, Patrick Mahomes took time out of his day to watch the Buckeyes’ offense pick apart the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Mahomes actually posted a message on Twitter for Ohio State’s football program. The reigning Super Bowl MVP wants the Buckeyes to stop poaching talented recruits from Texas.
Freshman wideout Jaxson Smith-Njigba had an unbelievable touchdown in the second half of today’s game that caught plenty of people’s attention, including former Ohio State linebacker Darron Lee.
Lee tweeted “Our entire WR room is filthy,” which then resulted in Mahomes replying “I’m tired of y’all talking all these receivers from Texas.”
Mahomes then tweeted that Ohio State is taking wide receivers from the state of Texas, not the Texas Longhorns. He just wanted to clarify his original post this way he doesn’t upset any Texas Tech fans.
And by Texas i mean the state of Texas lol https://t.co/jQWIqQYsag

Smith-Njigba is a five-star recruit from Rockwall, Texas. Plenty of schools from the state of Texas pursued him when he was in high school, but it’s tough to top what Ohio State has to offer.
The Buckeyes have sent plenty of wide receivers to the NFL over the past few seasons. Chris Olave seems well on his way to going pro in the near future, and Smith-Njigba certainly has what it takes to do the same.
