Paul Finebaum Show Guest Could See Urban Meyer Coaching This NFL Team In 2019

Urban Meyer is currently serving a three-game suspension to open the 2018 season. He will be back on the sidelines in Week 4 against Tulane.

Given the Zach Smith situation this summer and the way Meyer was criticized for his handling of it, some have speculated if the longtime Buckeye coach might be working elsewhere next season.

It is merely conjecture at this point, but several people have brought the possibility up.

This afternoon, Ken Smithmier, the President of P3 Insights and a judgement expert, raised an interesting scenario on the Paul Finebaum Show.

Smithmier says he thinks Urban will move from Ohio State to the NFL next year, and he won't have to go far. In Smithmier's hypothetical, Meyer takes over the Cleveland Browns.

Let's start by saying this seems highly unlikely. If Meyer did leave Columbus, why would he want the task of taking over the rebuilding Browns?

It is fun to discuss "what ifs" like this during the offseason, but this is one we don't see happening.
