Photo: Ohio Governor Announces Their Will Be Many TVs At His Inaugural Gala If Ohio State Makes Title Game

The Inaugural Gala for Ohio's governor, John Kasich, is the same evening as the 2015 College Football Playoff national championship game - Monday, Jan. 12.

That could be a problem for the Buckeye State.

If No. 4 Ohio State beats No. 1 Alabama in the Sugar Bowl Jan. 1, Urban Meyer's squad will be playing in that national championship game. What proud citizen of Ohio would attend a gala for their governor when their favorite college football team is playing for a title?

Governor Kasich understands this, which is why he's made a bit of an adjustment to his plans for the gala.

That's probably why you voted for him, Ohioans.

Ohio State and Alabama are set to kick off at 8:30 p.m. E.T. Jan. 1. The game will be televised on ESPN.
