Photo: Tate Martell Was Hinting At His Ohio State Commitment Long Before He Decommitted From Texas A&M

Tate Martell, the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the 2017 class, announced a commitment to Ohio State earlier this evening.

The 5-foot-10, 203-pound prospect out of Las Vegas had previously been committed to Texas A&M, but decommitted in May.

Was the four-star prospect hinting at a Buckeye commitment all the way back in January, though?

Possibly.

January 8 was "future college day" at Martell's school, Bishop Gorman, and the dual-threat quarterback was not wearing Aggies' gear. He was, though, wearing an Ohio State national champions T-shirt.

Martell retweeted the following tweet this evening shortly after his commitment.

This is probably much more ironic than it is soothsaying, but it's still pretty cool for Martell to be able to say he knew he was going to end up with the Buckeyes way back in January.
