Report: Ohio State, Army Attempting To Schedule A Non-Conference Game

Out of the 15 games Ohio State played during its national championship season, perhaps no team gave the Buckeyes more trouble - save for Virginia Tech and Alabama - than Navy. In the first game of their 2014 campaign, Urban Meyer's team needed a second-half comeback to defeat the Midshipmen, 34-17, in a contest that was much closer than the score.

The Buckeyes are attempting to face another service academy.

According to a report by Sal Interdonato, Ohio State and Army are discussing scheduling a non-conference game for a season after 2016.

Ohio State currently has an opening on its 2017, '18 and '19 schedules. If a game between the Buckeyes and the Black Knights is going to occur, it will likely happen during one of those seasons.
