RJ Mickens of Southlake Carroll High School in Texas is the top ranked safety in the 2020 recruiting class. He’s still pretty open in his recruitment, as we near the summer before his senior season.
247Sports ranks him at the top of his position group. He’s No. 42 overall in the class, and No. 5 in the Lone Star State.
As you’d guess, Mickens has the attention of many of the top programs in the country. 11 are still in contention, per his tweet.
RJ Mickens list appears to be final, based on his message.

So far, six analysts have weighed in via 247’s crystal ball. Three believe he will be an Ohio State Buckeye, while two have him heading to defending national champion Clemson.
Mickens has a close connection to one of those 11 programs. His father Ray Mickens played at Texas A&M before an 11-year NFL career.
Overall, he has 31 offers as of today.
