Ohio State head coach Ryan Day had a chance to be aggressive at the end of the first half against Penn State. He ultimately opted to play it safe.

With 42 seconds remaining in the first half, Day decided taking a knee would be the best option for his offense. It was a bold strategy considering he had all three timeouts in his back pocket.

To make matters worse, Ohio State receives the ball to start the second half. The Buckeyes could've put away the Nittany Lions if they played their cards right.

Pat McAfee and the rest of the college football world are questioning this decision from Day.

"Ryan Day, a cowardly decision. :42 and three timeouts," a fan posted on social media.

Another person said, "Knock Ryan Day if you want. Those rollover timeouts will come in handy in the second half."

Some people view Day's decision as a knock on McCord.

"That right there tells you how much Ryan Day trust Kyle McCord. 3 timeouts and kneels to go to half," one person wrote.

McCord finished the first half with 125 passing yards. Luckily for him, his costly fumble in the second quarter was called back by a holding penalty.

Ohio State leads 10-6 over Penn State at halftime.
