Ohio State could be missing a key starter in its Rose Bowl contest against Washington next week.

The Buckeyes are set to take on the Huskies on New Year's Day. Urban Meyer's team could be without starting left tackle Thayer Munford.

Munford has been missing practice this week and is apparently dealing with a knee injury.

Ohio State's new head coach, Ryan Day, said that Munford will be a "game-time" decision.

"Ryan Day said offensive tackle Thayer Munford will be a game-time decision for Ohio State against Washington."

Munford would be a major loss for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State and Washington are set to kick off at 5 p.m. E.T. on New Year's Day.

The game will be on ESPN.

Ohio State enters its contest against Washington as a sizable favorite.
