Today is a relatively quiet National Signing Day for many college football programs. That’s because most schools sign a majority of their class in December during the early signing period.
However, Ohio State has already lost one four-star offensive lineman and gained another today. They appear to have some more help in the trenches coming later this evening.
During his signing day press conference, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day hinted that his team will get another commit today. Day can’t officially comment on a prospect until he is signed, so he was unable to give the recruit’s name.
However, it is pretty easy to figure out who it is. Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis three-star offensive lineman Dawand Jones is announcing at 5:30 p.m. ET.
Jones is expected to choose the Buckeyes over Penn State.
Ryan Day says Ohio State will get another commit later today, essentially confirming the team will add Dawand Jones.

Ohio State offered Jones in November. He officially visited campus in January and also hosted Day and offensive line coach Greg Studrawa on a pair of visits.
Jones is the No. 13 player in Indiana and the 87th-rated offensive tackle in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
We will bring you news of Jones’ decision once it becomes official.
