Ohio State’s new head coach, Ryan Day, made a pretty big recruiting visit on Wednesday evening.
Day, who’s taking over for Urban Meyer in Columbus, checked in with one of the most-important recruits in Ohio State’s 2019 class.
Garrett Wilson, a five-star wide receiver committed to Ohio State, was paid a visit by Day and some of the Buckeyes’ staff.
“Happy to have the big men on campus stop by tonight,” Wilson tweeted.

Wilson revealed after Meyer’s retirement decision that he was still committed to Ohio State. He’s one of the top wide receivers in the 2019 class and keeping him board is big.
Day made a couple of other big visits on Wednesday, too.
Urban Meyer on Tuesday afternoon: "Ryan's going to be in four states tomorrow, I imagine. He better be."
Since then, Ryan Day has been to Illinois to visit Nick Broeker; Mentor, Ohio this morning to visit Ryan Jacoby and Noah Potter; and Texas tonight to see Garrett Wilson. https://t.co/IMCgPlYspf
