Ryan Day Had Simple Message For Ohio State Players About Michigan
The best rivalry game in college football is just around the corner. On Saturday afternoon, No. 2 Ohio State will face No. 3 Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Speaking to the media this week, Day was asked about the quarterback matchup between Ohio State's Kyle McCord and Michigan's J.J. McCarthy.
Instead of offering his thoughts on the two quarterbacks, Day revealed his message to the Buckeyes ahead of this weekend's game.
“Well I think there’s a lot going on here, and I think what we’ve done all season is in preparation for this game,” Day said, via On3. “The way that we’ve prepared, the way we’ve evaluated each game, the way we’ve talked about each game, our focus in the offseason, our focus on the preseason, and our focus during the season.”
Day also said Ohio State needs to "continue on the routines that we’ve been on and be the best team we’ve been all season."
If we're talking about consistency, Ohio State's defense needs to get most of the credit. That unit hasn't given up more than 17 points in a single game all season. Fans should expect another solid performance this Saturday.
Of course, Ohio State also needs McCord and its passing game to show up against Michigan.
Kickoff for "The Game" is set for 12 p.m. ET on FOX.
