A few weeks ago, Ohio State held a press conference to announce Urban Meyer's retirement from the program following the Rose Bowl against Washington. Current offensive coordinator Ryan Day will take over as the team's new head coach moving forward.

Day served as the team's acting head coach during Meyer's three-game suspension earlier this season. He led the team to a 3-0 record during Meyer's absence and was already seen as one of the top young assistants in the nation.

Now he'll get the chance to lead the Buckeyes.

On Wednesday afternoon, during the Early Signing Period, Day shared a cool text he received after being named the new head coach. Ohio State men's basketball coach Chris Holtmann sent Day a congratulatory text message.

The future is bright at Ohio State as Holtmann has the Buckeyes as a top-15 program this season.

Ohio State takes on Washington in the Rose Bowl in just under two weeks.
