No. 1 2020 OLB Sav'ell Smalls Announces Top 12 Schools

Five-star linebacker Sav'ell Smalls celebrates a play.

Seattle native Sav'ell Smalls is sure to have one of the hottest recruitments in the 2020 cycle. He is the top-ranked outside linebacker in the country.

247Sports ranks Smalls No. 4 overall in the class of 2020. He's the top-ranked player in Washington, and the third-ranked defensive player in the upcoming class.

Smalls currently claims 32 scholarship offers, with most of the big recruiting powers after him.

Now, 12 appear to be out in front in this race.

Sav'ell Smalls announced his top 12 schools over the weekend.

From the five-star linebacker:

His full note:

"Much love to every coach who saw something in me and offered me an opportunity to play for their school at the next level. I appreciate all of you, but to get closer to a decision, I'll be focusing on these 12 schools...

The University of Alabama
The University of Florida
The University of Miami
The Ohio State University
The University of Oklahoma
The University of Oregon
The University of Texas
The University of Washington
Clemson University
Florida State University
Washington State University"

As of now, there is no real consensus in 247's crystal ball. 43-percent of predictions have him heading to Florida State, with Alabama and Washington right behind.

However, with almost a full year before next year's National Signing Day (and 10 months before the December early signing period), this is anyone's race.
