SEC Network's Peter Burns Hilariously Trolled Ohio State On Twitter

Ohio State fans probably won't be sending Valentine's Day cards to Peter Burns.

Ohio State finished fifth in the final College Football Playoff rankings in 2017, one spot out of the foursome. This happened despite the fact the Buckeyes won the Big Ten, while fourth-seeded Alabama didn't even win its division in the SEC.

Of course, the Tide got into the playoff largely because they only lost one game, while Ohio State lost two. It was the Buckeyes' second loss that was most damaging.

Ohio State was blown out by Iowa 55-24 in November. That blowout basically sealed the team's CFP fate.

Alabama went on to win the national title, validating the committee's decision. That doesn't make Ohio State fans better though.

Buckeye fans clearly won't appreciate this tweet from SEC Network analyst Peter Burns. Burns used Valentine's Day to take a jab at Ohio State.

He did so by reworking the classic "Roses are Red" poem.

"Roses are red, violets are blue, ohio state lost by 31 to iowa, that's all," read Burns' tweet.

Yikes. The truth does hurt though.

If Ohio State wants to reach the CFP this year, they can't have a letdown loss like that again.
