Tate Martell Allegedly Trashed Texas A&M 2016 QB Recruit In Leaked DM Conversation

Update: Starkel has deleted the tweet, but here's a screenshot:

Earlier: Texas A&M quarterback signee Nick Starkel posted a photo on Twitter this evening of an apparent leaked DM conversation between recent decommit Tate Martell and someone else (not Starkel).

The conversation shows Martell, a 2017 five-star QB who backed off his Aggies' pledge on Wednesday, trashing Starkel and A&M's quarterback situation.

Martell had been taking visits and receiving scholarships to other schools while committed to Texas A&M, so this other person in the apparent DM conversation told him he should just decommit. The Nevada native went on to say that he'll be able to start as a true freshman at Texas A&M because the only quarterback the Aggies will have in '17 is Starkel, a three-star 2016 signee, and he's "a--."

Here's Starkel's tweet with the apparent leaked DM conversation between Martell and another person.

This - a recruit calling out another recruit - is not something you see very often. But Martell certainly has not made Texas A&M and its players/recruits very happy this week.

Martell, ranked the No. 1 dual-threat QB in the 2017 class by 247Sports, has yet to respond.
