Update: Ohio State quarterback Tate Martell has taken to Twitter to officially announce his decision to transfer to Miami.

"right back like we never left... I’M A HURRICANE!" he wrote.

Earlier: Ohio State quarterback Tate Martell has reportedly made his transfer decision. FOX 5 in Las Vegas - Martell's hometown - is reporting that the Buckeyes' quarterback will be transferring to Miami. Martell visited Miami earlier in the week and appeared to enjoy his visit with the Hurricanes' program. Vince Sapienza of FOX 5 in Las Vegas is now reporting that Martell has decided to transfer to Miami and will be announcing his decision on Wednesday. "Per sources, Bishop Gorman grad, and Ohio St. backup QB Tate Martell will be transferring to the University of Miami," he reports.

Martell's decision to transfer to Miami would not be a surprising one. The Buckeyes' quarterback has multiple high school teammates playing for the Hurricanes, all of whom have been recruiting him to South Florida.

One of his high school teammates, Bubba Bolden, posted a not-so-subtle message on Twitter earlier Tuesday night.

Miami's new head coach, Manny Diaz, also seems to be hinting at the news.

Martell was reportedly also considering West Virginia and Louisville, among other programs. His decision to transfer from Ohio State was in response to Georgia five-star QB Justin Fields transferring into the Buckeyes' program.
