The 10 CFB Coaches That Have Produced The Most NFL Draft Picks

No college football coach is likely to have more players selected in this year's NFL Draft than Urban Meyer, who could see 15 of his former Ohio State stars taken, a mark that would set a new record.

Which college football coaches have produced the most NFL Draft picks?

Brad Crawford of 247 Sports took a look and came up with the following feature.

">April 24, 2016

Here's the top 10. The coaches' number is not just limited to the number of players taken at their current school. So, for example, Nick Saban's number includes his draft picks from Michigan State, LSU and Alabama.

  1. Alabama's Nick Saban - 88
  2. Miami's Mark Richt - 79
  3. Oklahoma's Bob Stoops - 77
  4. LSU's Les Miles - 71
  5. Iowa's Kirk Ferentz - 58
  6. Kansas State's Bill Snyder - 52
  7. Ohio State's Urban Meyer - 49
  8. UTSA's Larry Coker - 47
  9. Cincinnati's Tommy Tuberville - 40
  10. Notre Dame's Brian Kelly - 37

Ferentz all the way up at No. 5 has to come as a pretty big surprise to the average college football fan, though he's been at Iowa for a while and has consistently produced good teams. The same can be said for Snyder.

Meyer should shoot up this list in the coming years.
