No. 10: Nebraska
How can a program like Nebraska, situated in America’s heartland with an elderly fan base that dislikes loud music, be sexy? It’s all about their current head coach.
Bo Pelini has been about as bland a coach as there is, results wise. Pelini, 46, is 61-24 as the Huskers’ coach and every season has pretty much been the same. Since 2008, the year Pelini became the leader in Lincoln, Nebraska has lost four games every season and won either nine or 10.
It’s Pelini’s off-the-field actions that make his program one of college football’s 10 sexiest. It started this past April, when Pelini paid homage to his online alter ego, @FauxPelini. Pelini entered Memorial Stadium during the Huskers’ Tunnel Walk, holding up a cat.
The offseason of Bo continued in July, when the 46-year-old live tweeted his experience at an amusement park. Later, in August, Pelini unveiled Nebraska’s alternate “Red Rising” uniforms by wearing the pants, jersey, and helmet to a team meeting. He then wore this stylish blazer to a press conference.

If Nebraska can put together a 10-plus win season this fall, Pelini could easily become the country’s “it” college football coach. For now, the Huskers will have to settle for a No. 10 spot on the sexy rankings, and they have Pelini to thank.
