Ohio State has placed Urban Meyer on administrative leave as the school investigates his handling of the domestic violence accusations against former assistant coach Zach Smith. Meyer's fate is still up in the air.

He could be suspended, or could be fired. We should know what his punishment will be in the coming weeks, perhaps sooner.

At least one Ohio State fan is trying to make his, and others voices heard. Blake Firestone has created a "Save Urban Meyer" petition on Change.org.

It has over 25,000 signatures already.

Urban Meyer is on the hot seat and can be wrongfully fired from Ohio State it is up to us Buckeye Nation to help him not just for him but for THE Ohio State University and the great state of Ohio!

This was Firestone's original message when he created the petition last week.

We just created the petition and its creating steam but we have to keep on pushing so share everywhere so that we can keep on getting signatures. Hopefully Gene Smith can see this and realize that Buckeye Nation will not tolerate for this.

With Smith, the OSU athletic director, also drawing scrutiny, Firestone has said he is looking for a new contract at the university in case Smith loses his job.

Currently, the goal for the petition is 35,000 signatures.
