The Torrance Gibson saga appears to be coming to an end, and not in the way many first anticipated.
Gibson, who was suspended by Ohio State last summer and reportedly enrolled in a junior college in December, will not be returning to Columbus. He announced his intentions to transfer on Twitter this afternoon.
Gibson's announcement comes after multiple reports this week indicated it was unlikely he'd be back at OSU.
Gibson was originally a four-star quarterback recruit when he signed with the Buckeyes in 2015. He redshirted that fall and was in the process of making the move to wide receiver when he was suspended by the university.
It is likely Gibson will now have several suitors for his services.
Update: Gibson has officially committed to Cincinnati.
This move makes sense since former Ohio State assistant Luke Fickell is now the Bearcats' head coach. Pretty good recruiting coup for him.
