The decommitment of four-star wide receiver Tyjon Lindsey was pretty stunning.
Tyjon Lindsey announced his decommitment from Ohio State early this morning and the Buckeye community was pretty surprised to hear it.
While a number of factors likely contributed to the four-star wide receiver's decommitment from OSU, his relationship with Ohio State four-star quarterback Tate Martell might be one of them.
The two were teammates at Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, but their relationship might be trending the wrong way.
Lindsey tweeted the following today, appearing to hint at that.
Martell, meanwhile, tweeted the following.
Jeremy Birmingham of Land Of 10 has more:
The first thing to realize is this: the relationship that Lindsey and Tate Martell — whose family Lindsey lived with in Las Vegas when he originally arrived from California years ago — is not what it once was. The pair were extremely close and that played a big part in their initial decisions but over the last year, that has changed considerably, according to a source.
Ohio State will continue to recruit Lindsey, but it appears that door has closed.
The Buckeyes have moved on to other plans, too, offering three-star wide receiver Ty Jones.
