Urban Meyer "Anticipates" Ohio State Will Play Both Quarterbacks Throughout The Season

Urban Meyer won't be revealing Ohio State's starting quarterback for the season opener against Virginia Tech. We won't know who will be under center for the Buckeyes against the Hokies until either J.T. Barrett or Cardale Jones takes the first step.

We do know this, though: both quarterbacks are likely going to play. And that probably won't change as the season goes on.

Meyer said on Tuesday's Big Ten coaches' conference call with the media that he "anticipates" both Barrett and Jones will play throughout the season.

It's not hard to imagine Barrett and Jones both being used in every game. Meyer is certainly familiar with playing two quarterbacks, which he did at Florida with Tim Tebow and Chris Leak.

Ohio State and Virginia Tech are set to kick off at 8 p.m. E.T. on Monday on ESPN.
