Urban Meyer Calls Michael Thomas The "Most Competitive Player I've Ever Had"

Urban Meyer will likely see at least five of his former Ohio State players taken in the first round of the NFL Draft tonight.

Former Buckeyes Joey Bosa, Ezekiel Elliott, Darron Lee, Taylor Decker and Eli Apple are all probable first-round selections.

During an appearance on ESPN's NFL Insiders, Urban Meyer said one of his soon-to-be NFL players is the "most competitive" player he's ever coached. It's not one of the probable first rounders, though. It's former Buckeye wide receiver Michael Thomas.

Thomas, the nephew of NFL great Keyshawn Johnson, went from catching three passes for 22 yards as a freshman to catching 110 passes for 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns over his next two seasons.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound California native could sneak into the first round if a team really needs a wide receiver.

The NFL Draft starts at 8 p.m. E.T. on ESPN.
