Ohio State went 8-0 in the Big Ten last year and hasn't lost a game the past two seasons. But head coach Urban Meyer apparently doesn't think the Buckeyes should be considered royalty in the conference right now. He just called Wisconsin the "king" of the Big Ten at his Monday press conference:
To be fair, Wisconsin has won the last three Big Ten titles - even if one of them was largely the result of sanctions against both Ohio State and Penn State. On the flip side, Wisconsin has lost its last two games to Ohio State and went just 4-4 in-conference last year.
Is Meyer giving the Badgers too much credit, or is this some odd attempt at building an opponent's ego?
