In fewer than 24 hours, the Ohio State Buckeyes will host the Wisconsin Badgers in what was supposed to be a match-up of unbeaten programs.
After Ohio State took care of Northwestern on Friday night, Wisconsin had its end of the bargain to live up to. The Badgers couldn't hold off Illinois, who walked out with a 24-23 win on a last-second field goal.
With the loss, Wisconsin finds itself in desperate need of a marquee win to get back into College Football Playoff contention.
Before kickoff on Saturday afternoon, former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer had a message for his former program.
"Hi Buckeye fans, especially our student body - my students. Come on out early tomorrow, 10:00 a.m., BTN Tailgate Show and the 11:00 a.m. for the Big Noon Kickoff. Our show will be right here in the stadium, in the Horseshoe, to cheer our Buckeyes on for a Big Ten win against Wisconsin," Meyer said.
Ohio State enters the contest as a 14.5-point favorite. The Buckeyes are the only program in the country in the top-5 in offense and defense.
Wisconsin might have joined Ohio State in that class if it took care of business against Illinois last weekend. Even with the loss, the Badgers still only allow 7.6 points per game.
Ohio State and Wisconsin kick off at 12:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
