Urban Meyer is set to coach his final game at Ohio State in a couple of days, with the Buckeyes taking on Washington in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day.

The three-time national title-winning head coach has said that he doesn't plan on coaching again, but there are many who don't believe that.

Unsurprisingly, it hasn't taken very long for Meyer to get mentioned for another major job.

Of course, there are Notre Dame fans calling for the Fighting Irish to make a run at Meyer following their blowout loss to Clemson tonight.

We have "hire Urban Meyer" threads popping up on Notre Dame's fan sites.

"The 'hire Urban Meyer' threads have arrived," Rivals.com's David McKinney tweeted.

Of course, that's not happening (this season, anyway).

Meyer did coach at Notre Dame at the beginning of his career, though, and has previously called it his "dream school."

ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit has said that Notre Dame might be the only school that Meyer would consider coaching at after Ohio State, too. He doesn't see that happening, however.

“The outside world thinks he’s a Notre Dame guy. He is an Ohio State guy to the core. His legacy is everything to him. And so when he steps down at Ohio State, this is very different,” Herbstreit said.

One thing is for certain: Meyer rumors are not going away.
