Walk-ons Elijaah Goins and Zach Turnure are now on scholarship with the Buckeyes.
For two Ohio State Buckeyes, the hard work has paid off.
On Saturday, head coach Urban Meyer surprised seniors Elijaah Goins and Zach Turnure with scholarships.
The Ohio State football Twitter account released videos of the two receiving their scholarships:
"I'm going to do everything I can for this team," Goins said after receiving his scholarship. "Anything to get us to that natty."
Goins walked on during the spring of 2015, beginning his Ohio State career as a defensive back before eventually shifting to the wide receiver position. He played in 12 games last season.
"I love all you," an emotional Turnure said after receiving his scholarship. "I do everything for you guys. Whatever you guys ask, I'll do it."
Turnure was originally a member of the OSU lacrosse team and he joined the football team in the fall of 2014. Like Goins, he also played in 12 games last year.
