Friday, a report surfaced that claimed the Cleveland Browns were “preparing” to offer Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer the largest contract in NFL history. The story didn’t gain much traction, that is, until ESPN’s Pardon The Interruption discussed the possibility later that afternoon.
Saturday morning, Meyer and Ohio State released a statement on the matter. Meyer says that he has “no interest whatsoever” in any job other than the one he has.
Ohio State’s Urban Meyer @OSUCoachMeyer said through school spokesman this a.m. he has no interest in any job other than coaching Buckeyes.

It’s surprising that Ohio State felt the need to respond here. That being said, it should calm any fans who were worried.
Meyer is currently 49-4 as the Buckeyes’ head coach. It doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere for quite some time.
