J.T. Barrett will remain a captain at Ohio State despite his guilty plea to an OVI charge this morning, Urban Meyer confirmed this afternoon.

The decision to keep Barrett as a captain was not just Meyer's; other prominent members of the Buckeyes' team had a say in the matter, too.

The Buckeyes' redshirt sophomore quarterback, who was suspended one game for the incident, had his license suspended for 180 days (among others things) by a Franklin County Municipal Court judge early today.

Barrett has been a prominent leader for Ohio State all season. This past Saturday, in a game he wasn't able to play in, the quarterback gave a pep talk at halftime to his teammates. He's set to take back his role as starting quarterback Saturday against Illinois.
