Urban Meyer got smacked in the face by an official and was called for a penalty at Wisconsin.
Urban Meyer got a little too close to a referee on the sideline during Ohio State's overtime victory at Wisconsin on Saturday night.
The Buckeyes' head coach was smacked in the face by a referee and got called for a sideline interference penalty.
Meyer responded to his penalty during his Monday afternoon press conference today. He's not a fan of the rule.
"Get rid of the damn rule," Meyer says.
Here's video of Meyer's response, from the Big Ten Network.
Thankfully for Meyer and the Buckeyes, the penalty didn't end up costing Ohio State. OSU went on to win the game in overtime, 30-23.
Ohio State, the No. 2 team in the country, is set to take on Penn State at Beaver Stadium in State College, Pa. Saturday night. The game will kick off at 8 p.m. E.T. on ABC.
