Urban Meyer Updates Status Of Injury To Star DE Nick Bosa

ohio state issues injury update on nick bosa

Ohio State beat TCU last weekend, despite losing star defensive end Nick Bosa to an injury during the game. Bosa suffered a lower-body injury.

After the game, ESPN reported his issue as a “lower abdomen strain.” Urban Meyer already said Bosa will not play against Tulane this weekend.

As for Bosa's availability beyond this Saturday, Meyer is still unsure. He was asked about the projected top-five NFL Draft pick's health on a conference call today.

Meyer said OSU hopes to know "soon" how long Bosa will be out. It could be later this week.

Bosa is OSU's top defensive player. His absence won't hurt too much against Tulane, but it could be a major issue if it extends beyond this week.

Ohio State travels to Penn State on Sept. 29 before home games against Indiana and Minnesota. Ideally, Bosa will be back for the trip to Happy Valley, but we'll see if that's in the cards.

Stay tuned.
